Extended Communion with the Reserved Sacrament is intended as a means of facilitating regular reception of Holy Communion. In this service the Reserved Sacrament (previously consecrated by a Priest) is distributed by suitably trained lay people with the approval of the Area and Diocesan Bishops. Extended Communion indicates that the lay person “extends” the Communion, celebrated within the Benefice by our Priests, across the whole Benefice.

11:00 - Peal attempt. A peal will be rung on the eight bells at Wem.  A peal contains 5040 changes and will take about 3hrs to ring. This involves great skill and concentration.


SATURDAY 12th NOVEMBER


09:00 - 11:00 - Annual Leaf Clearance at SS Peter and Paul’s ready for Remembrance Sunday – Helpers welcome! Refreshments provided!

10:00 - 12:00 - Christmas Coffee Morning in the Church Hall


On this festive occasion we will have the usual stalls including raffle, cakes, tombola and Sybil’s Jams and preserves (including Chirstmas Mincemeat and Christmas Puddings!).  In addition, June will be bringing a selection of knitted winter woollies.
