The congregation of St Peter’s Church, Lee Brockhurst invite you to attend our celebration for the return of our two bells and the presentation of a cheque towards the cost of the restoration of the bells by a member of The Shropshire Historic Churches Trust on Sunday 07th April 2024 immediately following our 11.15 morning service. 16:00 - Prayer Group Meet in Church. All welcome.


THURSDAY 11th APRIL


19:30 - APCM and AGM, St Peter and Paul’s Church, Wem.


Please consider if you wish to nominate PCC members and Churchwardens; and complete form/s that can be found at back of church.


SATURDAY 13th APRIL


11:30 -13:30 - Community Lunch in the Church Hall.  This event is free of charge. Booking is helpful but not essential. Please ring 01939 232682 or email claireglover728@gmail.com


TUESDAY 16th APRIL


The Whitchurch Road Cemetery Chapel will be manned and open to visitors from 10:00 - 12:00 on Tuesday 16th April - this is a great chance to see the beautiful historic interior and view the recently conserved  loom-woven panels!


14:00 - Bible Study with Rev John in the Church Hall; following on from the Lent Bible Study the group will continue to meet fortnightly. Please join us.


SATURDAY 20th APRIL


The Friends of Whitchurch Road Cemetery will hold a coffee morning from 09:30 - 12:00 on Saturday 20th April at Wem Methodist Church Hall.  Everyone welcome.  There will be bric-a-brac, a raffle, tombola, cakes, gifts, produce and plants.  Please come along and support the ongoing work at the cemetery.


SATURDAY 27th APRIL


11:00 - Service to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Wem Brach of the British Royal Legion.


CHURCH FLOWERS


Please do call into church to see our Easter Flowers and If you would like to celebrate an anniversary or remember a loved one by sponsoring church flowers, please add your name against your preferred date in the sheet at the back of church or contact me. Donations for these flowers should be paid to our treasurer Caroline Sinclair.

The April Magazine is now available via the Links Page.  The May Issue of the Magazine needs your input no later than 22nd April, please. All articles e-mailed to Phoebe Ashton phoebe42.lee@gmail.com In Word, please, and any Pictures as jpeg’s If you do not have access to a computer a written article is OK. Phoebe will type it up if you get it to her.
